Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived in China for talks with his Chinese counterpart, as Moscow seeks to deepen its strategic partnership with Beijing amid rising tensions with the West over the war in Ukraine.
Lavrov arrived in the eastern Chinese city of Tunxi on Tuesday for a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, part of a three-day visit to the country.
The meeting comes as Russia and China have moved to strengthen their diplomatic and economic ties in recent years, particularly since the start of the Ukraine conflict last February.
